HROKR
[Old Norse]
HROH
[West Germanic]
ROCHUS
[Latin]
ROCCO
[Italian]

Rocco began as Hrokr—ᚼᚱᚬᚴᛦ—a Norse word meaning “rook” and “rest.” Over time, it softened into Hroh, carrying echoes of old legends. As the name crossed into Latin, it became Rochus, tied to healing and sainthood. Eventually, it arrived as Rocco—modern, timeless, and rooted in a legacy that spans myth, language, and culture. But for me, Rocco was simply a friend—and this is where his influence carries on.
